Shirley McCormick

Mrs. McCormick departed this life on Friday evening at her home.

Born in Selmer, she was the daughter of the late George Washington Dickey and Emma Louise McDaniel Dickey and lived most of her life in the Roger Springs community. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Wavie, Ethel, Beatrice and Leetha; and seven brothers, Bill, Esco, Oliver, Cheatham, James, Tommy Lee and George.

A homemaker, she was united in marriage on January 12, 1960 to Mr. James M. McCormick.  Her favorite pastime was spending time with family whom she loved dearly.

She leaves her husband of 65 years, James M. McCormick of Roger Springs; a daughter, Cheryl McCormick of Roger Springs; and a son, Greg McCormick, also of Roger Springs; two sisters, Virgie McDonald of Millington and Willie Mae Graves of Hickory Valley; four grandchildren, April, Sidney and Billy McCormick and Samantha Allen; and two great-grandchildren, Jasper Overton and Braylen McCormick.
