SHIRLEY FAY PENNINGTON
Bethel Springs, TN: Shirley Fay Moss Roach Pennington, age 78 passed away February 9, 2017 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born December 17, 1938 in Jackson, TN the daughter of the late James Vester and Lelarn Irene Johnson Moss. She went to school in Madison County. She married Wilford Roach and they made their home in Mississippi, Chicago and Bemis. She worked in the manufacturing business and the telephone company. She married James Roger Pennington in 1966 and they made their home in Chicago. She worked in factories in the Chicago area until 1997 when she retired. They moved to Bethel Springs in 2008.
She was very good at cross stitching, crocheting and loved to read. She was a member of the Full Gospel Fellowship Church at Bethel Springs.
Mrs. Pennington is survived by her husband, James Pennington of Bethel Springs; two sons, Jay Roach and wife Cindy of Panama City, FL and John Mark Roach and wife Pam of Sandwich, IL and a stepson, David Pennington and wife Susan of Bethel Springs; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a brother, Junior Moss of Jackson and a sister, Sandra Crouse of Henderson.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 13, 2017 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with David Paseur officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday.
