Shirley Ann Stroud was born on August 9, 1936, in McNairy County, Tennessee, to the late Bishop Otto and Ann Elizabeth Smith Humphrey. She was a devoted homemaker who cherished spending time with her family and took great pride in caring for her home.

Mrs. Stroud peacefully passed away on April 10, 2026, in Bartlett, Tennessee, at the age of 89 years, 8 months, and 1 day. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Cathy Ann Tate and husband Thomas W. Tate, III of Bartlett, Tennessee; her sons, Danny and Joey Stroud of Bartlett, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Joshua Stroud, Justin Stroud, Paul Daniel Tate and wife Lacie, and David Alexander Tate and wife Anna; as well as 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Bobby Ray Humphrey and wife Linda.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Daniel Stroud.
