Mrs. Shirley Jackson Wilson, age 79, of Bolivar, departed this life Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Bolivar.
The widow of Curtis Allen Wilson, who died on January 5, 1988, she was a homemaker and had formerly worked at Master Slack. She was born August 18, 1935, in the Hebron Community to Will and Cora Bass Jackson who preceded her in death. She enjoyed sewing and playing music on the guitar and organ and traveling, especially in the mountains. She lived all of her life here and was a Baptist in belief.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Ray and Janet Wilson of Bolivar; and a brother, Madison Jackson of Memphis; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Burton, Q.T and Clayburn Jackson and six sisters, Birtie Lee Brumbelow, Maggie McGarrh, Colene and Zettie Baker, Vadine Halks and Pearle Irvin. The family requests memorial donations in Mrs. Wilson's name be made to Caris Hospice.
