SISTER EDNA WRIGHT

Jackson, TN: Edna Mai Woodard Wright, age 91, passed away February 17, 2023, at Northbrooke Healthcare in Jackson.

She was born July 30, 1931, in Franklin, TN the daughter of the late Newt and Etta Martin Woodard. She grew up and was educated in Franklin, TN. She was married to James Wright in 1960. Mr. Wright died in 1976. She moved to Chester County in 1972.

She was employed at Chester County Sportswear for many years and retired in 1990.

She was a member of the Faith Assembly Pentecostal Church in Jackson. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her grandchildren.

Mrs. Wright is survived by a daughter, Carol Ann Perkins of Jackson, TN; four grandchildren, Brandi Sullivan, Nathan Kelley, Dana Kelley and Dylan Sullivan; three great grandchildren, Leah Kelley, Kaidee Kelley and Luke Leigons and a very special friend, Pam Perkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Neil Sullivan; a brother, Eugene Woodard; three sisters, Naomi Childress, Lillian Collins and Christine Sullivan.     

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, at Shackelford Funeral Directors - East Main Chapel with Rev. Don Cartwright officiating. Burial will follow in Henderson City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time on Sunday.
