Staley Holder

Pinson, TN: Staley Paul Holder, age 88, passed away in Pinson on March 26, 2026.

Staley was born in Cottonwood Point Missouri on October 21, 1937, to the late Paul Staley and Annie Mae Mayfield Holder. He graduated from Pinson High School in 1956 and worked at Piggly Wiggly before starting his own company, known as S.P. Holder Sheet Metal.

February 11, 1966, was a day Staley would always cherish. He married the love of his life, Linda Kay Wilson. They made their home in Pinson, TN until her passing on November 26, 2022.

He was a man who embraced life pleasures. He enjoyed a friendly competition of golfing while also dancing to country and listening to polka or jazz! His love for decorating during Christmas was truly unmatched. If you ever wanted to know where Staley lived, just go to Pinson and you will quickly find out as you saw every Christmas light shining bright or his blow molds displayed for those driving by. Especially during the holiday season. Staley also had a passion for collecting antiques as he found value in pieces from the past. Each item he collected reflected his appreciation for history, craftsmanship, and the memories tied to them. Many of these hobbies he enjoyed doing when Linda was alongside him.

Though he is gone, he will never be forgotten. With every swing of a golf club, every song that makes you want to dance, every blow mold and twinkling lights you see, and to every antique you collect he will always be with us.

He is survived by many family members as they stood alongside him and cared for him.

Funeral services will be Monday March 30, 2026, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with burial at Rogers Cemetery.

They family will receive friends at 1:30 PM prior to service time at 2:00 PM.
