Mr. Barnes passed away Saturday morning at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The husband of Debbie Mize Barnes, who survives, he was a cabinet maker. He was born to Jack Edward Barnes and Ann Beason Pepper Barnes, both of whom preceded him in death, and lived in Memphis prior to moving to Fayette County about 3 years ago. He loved to fish, ride motorcycles and play guitar. Mr. Barnes was a member of Whiteville First Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, whom he married on December 31, 1999, survivors include a brother, Jack Edward Barnes, Jr. of West, Miss.; two sisters, Marcia Jones of Jackson, Miss. and Jackie Burt of Crystal Springs, Miss. He was also loved and survived by his mother in law and her husband, June and Jacky Malone; a father in law and his wife, Ellis and Pat Mize; and three brother in laws, Bill, Jimmy and Steevie "Pete" Mize.
