Steve Prather

James Stephen (Steve) Prather was born March 12, 1957 in Hardin County, Tennessee the son of Tommy Neal Prather and Nancy E. Wagoner Morris.He was united in marriage to Teresa Jones on June 6, 1975. Mr. Prather was a foreman for LTD Steel Company in Biloxi, MS. He was a member of the Clear Creek Baptist Church in Adamsville, Tennessee. He loved his dog, Lil' Girl, and his corvette.Mr. Prather departed this life on November 27, 2009 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 52 Years, 8 Months, 15 Days. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Teresa (Jones) Prather of Selmer, TN; a son, Corey Prather of Adamsville, TN; his mother, Nancy Morris and husband Tommy of Adamsville, TN; his father, Tommy Neal Prather and wife June of Selmer, TN; two brothers, Lynn Prather and wife Cathy of Alasui, Ecaudor, and Ryan Prather of Tuscaloosa, AL; mother-in-law, Nina Jenkins of Counce, TN; father-in-law, Hubert Jones of Corinth, MS; sister-in-law, Glenda Smith and husband Jerry of Pocahontas, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.He was preceded in death by a son, James Brandon Prather; maternal grandparents, Enlow and Dorothy Wagoner; paternal grandparents, Billy Clyde and Willie Jewell Evans Prather; and a sister-in-law, Shelia Matlock.
