Steve Taylor

Steve Taylor, 59, of Bolivar, passed away Saturday evening, December 30, 2017 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital following a short illness.

The widower of Cathy Elizabeth Taylor, who died in 2011 after 28 years of marriage, he worked as a self-employed painter, being disabled since 2014. He was born June 17, 1958 in Jackson, son of the late Vernon and Betty Lou Sisco Taylor and lived most of his life in Hardeman County. He enjoyed deer hunting and working in his garden, along with fishing and being with his family. Mr. Taylor was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Jason Reid of Hernando, MS; two sisters, Teresa Hannis (Greg) of Henderson and Rita Bryant (Mike) of Jackson; a brother, Jeff Taylor of Bolivar; and two granddaughters, Lily Ann Reid and Isabella Marie Reid.
