STEVE MARBERRY

Medon, TN: Steven Douthitt Marberry age 57 passed away Friday night September 18, 2015 at his home near Malesus.

He was born June 20, 1958 in Memphis and reared in Memphis and Jackson, TN the son of Velma Mae Douthitt Marberry and the late Carlos Lee Marberry, Sr. He graduated from South Side High School in 1976. He worked several years at FedEx and married Cheryl Smith in 1988. He graduated from Jackson State Community College with a nursing degree. He was an RN in Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Jackson General Hospital. He was a member of the Campbell Street Church of Christ.

He loved fishing on the lake at his home, his trips to the Dakotas pheasant hunting and enjoyed building things with his hands.

Mr. Marberry is survived by his wife, Cheryl Smith Marberry of Medon; two sons, Tyler Evans Marberry and Trenton Lee Marberry both of Medon; his mother, Velma Mae Douthitt Marberry and a brother, Carlos Lee Marberry, Jr. of Jackson.

A celebration of his life will be 2:00 PM Sunday at the Campbell Street Church of Christ with Randy Hysmith officiating, and special tributes by Carla Sanderson and Dee Burgess. Burial will follow at 4:00 PM at Ebenezer Cemetery at Malesus.
