STEVEN ‘TWINKLE’ ROGERS
Finger, TN: Steven Todd Rogers, age 48 passed away February 25, 2018 at his home.
He was born June 8, 1969 in Selmer and reared in Milledgeville, the son of Jack Webster and Judy Pusser Rogers. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1987. He worked at I Appeal at Scotts Hill, Coke Cola Company, Columbus McKinnon, and also Fluid Routing Solutions. He married Darla Smith Griswell in 2013.
He would do anything for anybody and was the “best friend” anyone could have. He was a member of the Sanctuary Pentecostal Church at Milledgeville. He fought in Tuff Man contest as the “Joker”. His friends referred to him as Captain America. He loved to play softball. He enjoyed playing jokes on his friends and aggravating them and he was a “real” story teller.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife, Darla Smith Griswell Rogers of Finger; his parents, Jack and Judy Pusser Rogers; a stepson, Riley Griswell of Enville; a special stepson, Steven Bryant of Jacks Creek; a brother, Michael Rogers and wife Becky of Milledgeville and a sister, Tina Burke and husband Russ of Enville.
He was preceded in death by two stepdaughters, Nicole and Raven Griswell in 2007 and a brother, Anthony Rogers in 2014.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Gene Hanna officiating. Burial will follow in Maggie Jones Cemetery at Finger.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday.
