Steven Lynn Whitaker was born January 5, 1965 in Selmer, TN the son of Barbara Therrell and the late Larry Whitaker. He departed this life on September 7, 2020 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 55 Years, 8 Months, 2 Days.
Steven worked for the Street and Sanitation Department in Selmer, TN for 34 years and also worked at Wal-Mart for several years. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife, Shawn Whitaker; daughter, Shelly Whitaker; mother, Barbara Therrell and husband, James; uncle and aunts: Gordon and Bobbie Yopp, and Patsy Blanton all of Selmer, TN.
Mr. Whitaker was preceded in death by his father, Larry Whitaker; a brother, Ricky Whitaker; and grandmother, Etha Howell.
