Sue Gibson, age 75, of Bolivar, departed this life Saturday morning, May 20, 2017 at Bolivar General Hospital.
A native of Hardeman County, she was born January 24, 1942 to the late Carl Franklin Majors and Tennie Lee Carolyn Callahan Majors and lived most of her life in Hardeman County. She married Glen Gibson, who survives, on December 25, 1968 and was a retired appointment clerk with the State of Tennessee, retiring in 2004. She loved to travel and listen to Southern Gospel music, and was best known for her good cooking, sewing and crocheting, and her intense love for her family.. Mrs. Gibson was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Glen Gibson; a daughter, Susan Gibson of Bolivar; a sister, Joyce White (Hugh) of Bolivar; 7 nieces and 8 nephews; and two grandchildren, whom she dearly loved, Caleb & Rachel Montgomery; numerous great nieces and great nephews and two great great nieces. Memorial donations in her name may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
