Maggie Sue Harbin was born in Hardin County, TN on May 18, 1942, the daughter of the late Abe and Lena Holt Harbin. Sue was 70 years old when she was called peacefully to her eternal rest on December 7, 2012.
Sue was united in marriage on August 13, 1960, to Donnie Ray Gray, who preceded her in death September 13, 1999.
She worked as a seamstress for GARAN, Savannah Manufacturing, and Cross Country Apparel in Savannah, TN and retired as a cook at the Hardin County General Hospital.
Sue enjoyed sewing, gardening, preparing meals for her family, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and watching them grow. She kept in touch by sending text messages to her family and special friends every morning.
Sue is survived by three children: Anthony Ray Gray of San Antonio, TX; Dennis Gray (Theresa) of Savannah, TN; Teresa Mills (Carl) of Kossuth, MS; grandchildren: Joshua Gray of San Antonio, Christopher Gray of San Antonio, TX, Justin Cheaves (Bethany) of Glen, MS, and Lauren Allen of Kossuth, MS;
great grandchildren: Julian Gray and Trystin Gray both of San Antonio, TX; siblings: Rachel Pruitt of Missouri, Smithville, Lena (Gene) Wilkerson of Smithville, TN, Dexter (Judy) Harbin of Savannah, TN, Peggie Austin of Savannah, TN, Sally (Willard) Colwell of Smithville, TN, Faye Harbin of Smithville, TN, Bennie Harbin of Huntingdon, TN and Paul Harbin of Savannah, TN.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Willie D. Harbin, Etta Mae Harbin, Jamie Harbin, Frances White, Cecil Harbin, A.R. Harbin, Elsie Reed, Nancy Harbin, Betty Goodman, Linda Kaye Harbin and Andy Harbin.
