Sue Murphy

SUE MURPHYwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on April 19, 1943 the daughter of the late James Andrew and Emily Irene DeShazier Johnson. On June 18, 1960 she was united in marriage to Jay N. Murphy, who survives. Mrs. Murphy was a homemaker and a member of Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She loved to cook and go four wheeler riding and camping.Mrs. Murphy lived for 15 years in the Double Springs Loop area.She departed this life on February 25, 2009 at Savannah Healthcare in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 65 years, 10 months and 6 days.Other than her husband Jay N. (Pete) of Savannah, Tennessee, she is survived by one daughter, Lisa Steele of Savannah, Tennessee and 3 sons, James, Timothy and Shane Murphy, all of Savannah, Tennessee. 11 grandchildren, Adam Murphy, Jeffery Murphy, Emily Wilkerson, Justin Franks, Susan Franks, Madison Murphy, Holly Murphy, Brooke Murphy, William Murphy, Brittenay Murphy and Colby Murphy.3 great-grandchildren, Manda Murphy, Maranda Murphy and Hunter Wilkersonone sister, Linda Dianne Barfield of Savannah, Tennessee and John Wesley Johnson of Chicago, Illinois.Mrs. Murphy was also preceded in death by 2 half-sisters, Carolyn Browning and Tisha Johnson and one half-brother, James Johnson.
