SUE FRANCES “SISSY” PARKER
Sue Frances Parker, “Sissy”, age 76, entered into eternal life on Tuesday October 20, 2015. She was born August 22, 1939 in Jackson TN to W. A. Parker Sr. and Eliza Parker. Frances spent most of her childhood and young adult life with her parents and her grandparents Dr. Luther and Cora Parker at the historic Parker House in Saltillo, TN. Frances graduated from Saltillo High School in 1958 and attended Lambuth University in Jackson, TN.
On March 27,1960 she became a mother to her first daughter Leah, and then again on August 21, 1963 to a second daughter Lila. God put Frances on this earth to Love, Care and Guide them. Just when she thought she was too old to fall in love again she became Sissy to her six grandchildren Steven, Josh, Philip, Brooke, Ricky and Spencer whom stole her heart. Her grandchildren made her GREAT with great grandchildren Sailor, Rylee, Baylee, Jasper and Cooper. She could always make them laugh. Days were spent playing the piano and singing. She didn't keep a record of what she gave away. She said God did, and he would repay. Sissy believed God heard her every prayer. She read and studied her Bible and could quote scripture, ‘off the top of her head’ and pray that God would lead their steps. There were pictures of all her treasures that hung on her wall. Sissy loved to watch the birds for they reminded her of Gods care. She would say she never heard a bird cry, they fill the air with music as they fly, they just sing and sing until they die.
Her spirit is carried on by her daughters Leah Giesler married to David Giesler of Pickwick Dam, TN and Lila Williams of Morris Chapel, TN. Her six grandchildren Steven Cromwell and wife Melanie of Savannah, TN, Josh Cromwell and wife Jennifer of Powell, TN, Philip Weaver of Memphis, TN, Brooke Edwards and husband Garrett of Gadsen, TN, Ricky Smith of Morris Chapel TN and Spencer Cromwell of Pickwick Dam, TN and fiancé, Paige Almond.
