Mrs. Young died Thursday afternoon at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Born December 19, 1925 in Pittsburg, IL, to Howard and Marie Murphy Fowler, she was a homemaker all of her life. She married R. B. Young, March 9, 1946 and has lived in Tennessee for over 65 years. She was a member of Lavinia Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Powers of Somerville, Sheila Mayfield of Toone, and Cindy Zahn of Bartlett; two sons Larry Young and Tim Young both of Cedar Grove; a sister Betty Ellis of Marion, IL; 15 grandchildren, Jennifer "Susie" Walker (Bill), William Conrad Powers, II (Dixie), Elisha Puryear (Dean), Audra and Rachel Powers, Marty Young (Rebecca), Steve Young (Heather), Christy Martin (Adam), Hank Mayfield (Bethani), Clint and Hope Mayfield, Christy Young, Andrea, Amanda and Andrew Zahn; and 17 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bert Fowler and sister Nancy Clark.
