Sylvia "Sybil" Lou Tinin

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of Sylvia "Sybil" Tinin, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and member of the community. Sybil was born on December 17, 1960, in Hardin County, TN to the late Clemon Edsel and Willie Mae Sharp Davis.

Sybil dedicated many years of her life as an employee to many Wayne County businesses but most recent of Modern Way Immobilizers in Clifton, TN. She found joy in cooking, canning, baking, and quilting. These creative endeavors allowed her to share her love with others and create lasting memories.

On November 17, 2023, Sybil peacefully departed this world at the age of 62 years and 11 months. 

Sybil is survived by her daughters: Melissa (Nick) Ruth of Savannah, TN; Paige (Travis) Davis of Sharon, TN; Megan (Jake) Littrell of Waynesboro, TN; sister Sherry Walker of Dyersburg, TN; niece Amanda Walker of Dyersburg, TN; and grandchildren: Josalyn Ruth, Garrett Ruth, Dawson Slone, Remi-Kate Slone, Jonathan Davis, and Addison Littrell. She also leaves behind a dear friend Dana Ruth from Morris Chapel, TN.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jada Marie Ruth; and grandparents, Pearl Matlock, Arnold Davis, Buster Matlock, John Sharp, and Edata Mae Sharp.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and also on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, 22, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN, with Tracy Love officiating. Interment will be held at Clifton Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Sharing is Caring Pantry by mailing them to P.O. Box 152 in Clifton, TN. In this way, we can continue Sybil's legacy of compassion and generosity even after her passing.
