T.C. Kennedy
was born in McNairy County, Tennessee on September 5, 1918 the son of the late Charlie W. and Jennie Smith Kennedy.
On December 14, 1940 he was united in marriage to Gladys Sanderson, who preceded him in death on February 22, 2000.
Mr. Kennedy was Co-Owner of Godwin & Kennedy Construction Company for approximately 25 years. He was the Milledgeville City Recorder for 46 years and over saw the Milledgeville Cemetery for over 50 years. He was a member and held many offices at the Milledgeville United Methodist Church.
Mr. Kennedy departed this life on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at the age of 91 years, 11 months, 10 days.
He is survived by a daughter, Jane McCullough of Milledgeville, Tennessee; 2 sons, Jimmy Kennedy and wife Pat of Savannah, Tennessee, Dannie Kennedy and wife Doris of Milledgeville, Tennessee; 5 grandchildren, Mike and Mark Kennedy, Bobby McCullough, Angie Thompson, and Dana Grisham; 11 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Dovie Edwards, Maudie Flatt, Mildred Hicks, and Juanita Smith; 2 brothers, C.W. Kennedy and Don Kennedy; a stepmother, Cora Nolen Kennedy; a son-in-law, Buddy McCullough.
