TED ROY SMITH
was born in Hillsdale, Michigan on December 30, 1945 the son of the late Glen and Ola Gertrude Stinger Smith.
On June 30, 2000 he was united in marriage to Heather Bidwell of Savannah.
Ted was a truck driver for Sarasota Trucking of Sarasota, Florida. He also had worked for Skip Pauly Drilling in Michigan, Gerald White Trucking in Tennessee and Redwing Trucking in Ruskin, Florida. Ted was a member of the Moose Lodge in Bradenton, Florida and was a member of the Jaycees in Moscow, Michigan. Ted really enjoyed gardening and playing different musical instruments. He was a very comical man, he loved to joke and kid around with everyone. Ted was a very loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He was devoted to his family and all his loved ones.
Ted departed this life on June 13, 2012 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 66 years, 5 months and 14 days.
In addition to his wife, Heather he is survived by three daughters, Billie Jo Tuttle of Muskegon, Michigan, Sonya Sanson and Sandi Martin, both of Savannah, Tennessee, four grandchildren, Amanda Roland, Jessica Sanson, Meagan Sanson and Tyler Sanson, one brother, Bernard Smith of Reading, Michigan and one sister, Louise Rutledge of Reading, Michigan. Ted is also survived by his ex wife, Shirley Hinkle of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, Ted was also preceded in death by one grandchild, Montana Rain Martin.
