Teresa Renae Carter Smith, Florence was born August 7, 1961 in Florence, AL the daughter of Joe Kenneth and Wanda Gail Story Carter of Florence, AL. She departed this life on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 57 Years, 12 Days. She had worked at Crockett Hospital for over 25 years and also she worked for Parallon as a Medicare Specialist. She was married to Timothy Allen Smith December 24, 1979 and he preceded her in death January 16, 2009. Other than her parents she is survived by her daughter, Brandy Natasha Smith of Florence, AL and her special friend Connie Staggs. Other than her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Lane Carter.

Services will be Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Jerry Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood with Shackelford Funeral Directors, directing. Pallbearers are Joey Scott, Cedric Lard, Billy Hill, Josh Hill, Butch Staggs, and Joe Hanback. Hononary pallbearers are Lee Smith and Sherman Martin. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 5:00-9:00 PM and Tuesday at 2:00 PM until service time.
