Teresa Gail Thornton Talley

Teresa Gail Talley, born March 22, 1957, passed away in Memphis under the loving care of her family. Her final days were peaceful and filled with comfort.

Teresa was born in San Diego, California, while her father was serving in the military. His service meant the family moved often, but she spent most of her childhood and formative years in Charlotte, North Carolina. In recent years, she made her home in Oakland, Tennessee, where she built a life centered on connection and warmth.

Teresa never met a stranger. She had a natural gift for making people feel welcomed and at ease and she carried that spirit into every part of her life. She last worked as a personal trainer, encouraging and uplifting those she worked with through her kindness and energy.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby G. Talley; her daughter, Joani O'Connor; her grandson, Gavin O'Connor; her sister, Linda Thornton; and her brothers, Gary Thornton, Wayne Thornton, and Charles O. Worley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joanne and Wayne Thornton.

A private cremation will be held.
