Terry Smith

Terry L. Smith was born on April 18, 1956, in West Palm Beach, FL to William Clyde and Imogene Newman Smith. Terry moved to Henderson at the age of 8 when his dad retired from the Air Force. Terry was a 1974 graduate from Chester County High School. He was a star football player and turned down several offers to play college football but chose to attend Daytona Motorcycle Institute. He excelled and graduated from the institute and came back to Henderson to open Terry's Cycle Shop. He owned and operated the shop for 45 years. Terry married Marsha Lott in 1976. They shared 49 years of marriage. Their union produced two sons Brandon Lee Smith and William Brent Smith. Terry was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church. Terry coached Dixie Youth Baseball for several years and mentored many young men including his sons. Terry loved motorcycles, hunting and fishing. He formed and maintained several friendships over the years from these hobbies. Terry was a good husband, father, grandfather and brother. Terry is survived by his wife, his two sons and his daughter in law Jillian Smith. He is survived by 3 grandchildren Blake Smith (finance Maddie), Madelyn Smith and Dakota Smith. Terry also leaves behind a brother, Rickey Smith (Paulette) and a sister Nan Knipper (Jerry). Visitation will be Tuesday November 18, 5 pm thru 8 pm. Funeral service will be November 19 at 11:00 am. Bro. Ken Frye, Bro. Marc Hall and Bro. Thomas Leach. Burial will follow at Chester County Memorial Gardens.
