Terry Lance Strait

Terry Lance Strait, born on October 2, 1974, in Florence, Alabama, passed away on September 14, 2024. Terry had worked several years at South Eastern Tool and Dye. He was a man of many interests, notably expressing his enthusiasm as a devoted fan of the University of Tennessee, eagerly following them and showing pride in his team.

Beyond his professional life, Terry cherished the moments spent outdoors, particularly relishing in the activity of squirrel hunting with his beloved dogs, especially his treasured companion, Rudy. He had an infectious spirit and was always at his best when surrounded by family and friends, cherishing those relationships deeply.

Terry is survived by his mother, Donna Strait; his brothers, Randall Strait and Eric Strait (Holly). He was predeceased by his father, Alford Strait; his brother, Greg Strait; and his grandparents, Robert and Hilda Wilson, as well as Homer and Bessie Strait.

A funeral service to honor Terry’s life will be held on September 21, 2024, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, Tennessee.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with service starting at 2 pm.  Burial will follow at Cypress Oak Grove Cemetery.
