Texas King was born October 15, 1944 in Selmer, TN, the son of the late Jerry Morgan and Ruby Jewell King. He was a life time resident of Selmer. He was united in marriage to Johnnie Marie Watson on December 18, 1964 who preceded him in death on February 16, 2013. Texas retired from the City of Selmer as a Mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, skeet shooting, and working on cars. Mr. King departed this life on August 20, 2017 at the age of 72 Years, 10 Months, 5 Days.
He is survived by a daughter, Leanne Austin and husband Michael of Bartlett, TN; four grandchildren: Matthew Sowell and wife Briana, Bailey Henderson, Lindsay Henderson and Ruby Austin.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. King was preceded in death by a daughter, Kasey Joleen Shelby and a brother, Wilton King.
He is survived by a daughter, Leanne Austin and husband Michael of Bartlett, TN; four grandchildren: Matthew Sowell and wife Briana, Bailey Henderson, Lindsay Henderson and Ruby Austin.
