THELMA ARNOLD BESHIRES
Henderson, TN: Thelma Marie Arnold Beshires age 89, passed away Monday morning October 31, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Mrs. Beshires was born March 27, 1927 in the Phillips School Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late Cal and Mattie Isbell Arnold. She attended school at Owens School and graduated from Phillips School House. February 8, 1947 she married Clyde Beshires and they made their home in the same community all their married life. She and Clyde were married a few months shy of 70 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church, where she had attended all of her life, been a member for over 70 years, and taught Sunday school for many years.
She enjoyed gardening, flowers, flower arranging, quilting, canning, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Beshires is survived by her husband, Clyde Odell Beshires of Henderson; two daughters, Gale Fletcher of Jackson and Melinda Parker and husband Boyd of Henderson; three sons, Bo Beshires, Tim Beshires and wife Janice and Jason Beshires and wife Kathy all of Henderson; eight grandchildren: Jennifer Kinman (William), Hope Cornelison (Steve), Lance Beshires, Sara Beth Connor (Kyle), John Beshires (Brandi), Matthew Beshires (Brittany) , Whitney Beshires and Ryan Beshires and twelve great grandchildren; Jordan and Ashley Kinman, Abby and Trae Cornelison, Braxton, Deacon, and Kinsley Connor, Eli and Walker Beshires, Manning Beshires, Gracie Lott, and Graham Bickings, and care giver Kathy Conners.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters; Zola Rowland of Jackson and Clara Ruth Worsham and four brothers; Archie Arnold, J. W. Arnold, Doyle Arnold, and Calvin Arnold, Jr.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, November 3rd, at Cave Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel beginning at 4:00 PM Wednesday.
