Thelma Mae Brewer Cook

Thelma Mae Brewer Cook was born June 27, 1935 in Wayne County, TN, the daughter of the late Rippy and Lyda Thompson Brewer. Ms Cook was a homemaker and a member of the Burns Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, Iron City, Tennessee and departed this life on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center, Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 3 Months, 8 Days.

She is survived by sons, Danny Cook of Iron City, TN, Rickey Cook of Collinwood, TN; daughters, Vickey Daniel of Collinwood, TN, Wanda Horton of Savannah, TN, Donna Garland of Lawrenceburg, TN; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sue Dickey of Collinwood, TN, Gail Montgomery of Cypress Inn, TN; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ms Cook was preceded in death by a son, Cary Cook; brothers, Charles (Slick) Brewer and Doyle Brewer; a sister, Margie Mayes.

Services will be Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Tim Hanback officiating. Burial will follow in McCall Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County directing. Visitation will be Friday, October 7, 2016 fom 6 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.
