Thelma Haley, age 63 of Counce, passed away Saturday, April 9, at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah.
She was born on December 9, 1952 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of the late J. C. and Christine Lucy George Demery. She was united in marriage to James F. (Jimmie) Haley who survives. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death one brother, Ronnie Demery and two sisters, Helen Demery and Kathy Demery.
Along with her husband, Thelma is survived by two daughters, Gayle Cotner of Counce and Michele Cotner of Michie; one son, Aaron Haley of Counce; one brother, Tommy Demery; six grandchildren, Brandon Cotner his wife Marina, Wes Cotner and his wife Nicole, Casey Cotner and his wife Christina, Austin Cotner, Sterling Haley, and Chris Haley; eight great grandchildren, Chandler, Jaden, Mattie, Presley, Bane, Finley, Camden, and Landon.
Thelma worked at Pickwick Southside School in the cafeteria and at various convience stores. Above all, she loved her family and friends very much.
