Thelma L. King was born April 24, 1931 in Memphis, TN the daughter of Lillian Irene Simpson Robinson.
She was united in marriage to James Ray King on December 25, 1973. Mr. King preceded her in death on February 9, 2013.
Mrs. King was an inspector at different garment factories. She was a member of the Full Gospel Fellowship Church in Bethel Springs, Tennessee. She was good Christian lady who was devoted to her family and caring for them. She enjoyed cooking, baking and growing plants.
Mrs. King departed this life on November 2, 2020 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 89 Years, 6 Months, 9 Days. She is survived by four sons, Kevin King of Selmer, TN, Tony King and wife Maureen of Pearl, MS, Terry King and wife Beverly of San Antonio, TX, Robbie Clarkson of Memphis, TN; five grandchildren, Peyton, Paige, Kadynce, Ashley, and Brandon King; two sisters, Pauline Graves and husband Charles of Memphis, TN, Sherry Castalaw and husband Barney of Memphis, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. King was preceded in death by stepfather, Joseph (Joe) Robinson; a sister, Betty Jo Cox; six brothers, Aubrey, J.W., Jerry, and Thomas Robinson, William and Russell Simpson.
