Thomas Oneal Baker

Mr. Thomas Oneal Baker of Hornsby departed this life Tuesday evening, May 15, 2012 at Bolivar General Hosptial at the age of 72 years, 2 months, and 17 days.
A native of Hardeman County, he was born February 28, 1940 to the late Roy Oneal and Dessie Evelyn Grantham Baker. He was united in marriage to Margie Elizabeth Wiggins, who survives, June 20, 1959 and worked as a fork lift and log truck driver in the timber industry. He was Baptist in faith and enjoyed mud riding, working on automobiles and in the garden, visiting the Great Smoky Mountains and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Baker is survived by two sons, Thomas J. Baker of Hornsby, and Michael N. Baker and wife Tonya of Hornsby; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Standridge and husband Noble of Derrider, Louisiana; two sisters, Mary Foster and husband Phil of Ramer, and Cathy Stacks and husband Hollis of Saltillo; two brothers, Mack Baker of Selmer and Jimmy Baker and wife Stephanie of Middleton; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Ruby, and two brothers, John William and Roy.
