Mr. Thomas F. Foster of Pocahontas, passed from this life Friday morning, September 6 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital at the age of 81 years, 2 months and 19 days.
Mr. Foster was born June 18, 1932 in Middleton to Thomas Franklin and Amanda Elizabeth Vuncannon Foster. He was united in marriage to Sadie Ellen Morphis November 19, 1949 who survives. He was an operating engineer with Coor's from 1971-1997 and lived in Memphis for 48 years before retiring to Pocahontas. He loved gardening and hunting and spending time with his family. He was a Mason and a member of Pocahontas First Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include 2 sons, Jeffrey T. Foster of Bartlett & Mark Foster of Guys; 1 sister, Eula Simpson of Memphis; 1 brother, Robert L. Foster of Dwight, IL; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray Foster who passed on December 17, 2012; and 5 siblings.
