THOMAS E. (SONNEY) HENSON
was born in Savannah, Tennessee on January 8, 1945 the son of the late Daniel Nathan and Bertha Blanch Hurley Henson.
On November 12, 1961 he was united in marriage to Joyce Juanita Mitchell, who survives.
Mr. Henson was a retired custodian. He had worked for Temple Chattanooga, Parrish Manufacturing and for the Hardin County Board of Education. Mr. Henson was a preacher, he loved to go to church and loved to sing whenever someone asked him to. He had lived in Savannah, Nixon community, Cerro Gordo, Crump and Counce. Mr. Henson was a member of Crump Pentecostal Church.
He departed this life on May 12, 2012 at the age of 67 years, 4 months and 4 days.
In addition to his wife, Joyce of Counce, Tennessee, he is survived by 2 daughters, Jennifer Killough of Michie, Tennessee and Shelia Alexander of Milledgeville, Tennessee
4 sons, Ben Henson of Counce, Tennessee, Frank Henson of Adamsville, Tennessee, William Henson of Michie, Tennessee and Allen Henson of Counce, Tennessee
11 grandchildren, Johnathan, Nathaniel, Dakota, Andrew, Kendra, Jocelyn, Kayla, Amanda, Hannah, Jacob and Felicia
3 grandchildren, Kaylee, Julie and Elie
one brother, Daniel Henson of Counce, Tennessee
2 sisters, Carolyn Smith of Kossuth, Mississippi and Katie Keele of Savannah, Tennessee
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Becky Todd and Willie Mae Roosevelt
