THOMAS IRVIN, JR.
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 17, 1925 the son of the late Thomas Irvin, Sr. and Rosie Johnson Irvin.
On June 15, 1945 he was united in marriage to Ethel White Irvin, who preceded her husband in death on February 25, 2010.
Mr. Irvin served his country in the United States Army. He worked as custodian for 25 years at Suntrust Bank. Mr. Irvin was a member of Love Tabernacle in Savannah, Tennessee. He enjoyed fishing, reading newspaper and watching basketball and his favorite baseball team, the Atlanta Braves.
Mr. Irvin departed this life on September 27, 2016 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 91 years, 8 months and 10 days.
He is survived by his son, Joel Irvin of Savannah, Tennessee
four grandchildren, Latasha Irvin, Tara Irvin, Jemira Irvin and Larry Goodlow
four great grandchildren, Tristen Irvin, Traeh Irvin, Tylin Irvin and Jarvous Irvin
one sister, Julia Richmond of Savannah, Tennessee and two brothers, David Irvin of Savannah, Tennessee and Charles Irvin of Newark, Ohio
In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by two sons, Larry Irvin and Edward Irvin and five brothers, Leo, Robert, Clifford, Amos and William R. B. Irvin.
