Thomas Leon King

Thomas Leon King, 66, of Toone passed from this life on Wednesday afternoon, August 23, 2023, at his home.

The son of the late Thomas Edward King and Virginia Lareece Cox King, he was born in Jackson and was a life-long resident of Hardeman County.  For many years, Leon, as he was best known, owned and operated King's Logging.  He loved working with timber even spending his spare time riding in the area to track timber for future projects.

He was married on Valentine's Day of 1991 to Katie Louise King and she departed this life on April 22, 2008.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lanette King and Linda S. Bishop; and a brother, Edward Ray King.

He leaves his sister, Penny (Bobby) Blaylock of Bethel Springs; a brother, Timothy Lee King of Bolivar; step-daughter, Andrea Tidwell of Toone; step-granddaughter, Zoe Tidwell of Toone; five nephews Brad and Chad Blaylock, Grant, Joe and Clinton King; and a niece, Melissa King.
