Thomas Anthony Meeks

Thomas Anthony (Tony) Meeks was born November 15, 1943 in Corinth, Mississippi the son of the late Edwin Houston and Vance Dilworth Meeks.
He was united in marriage to Kay Gage on July 17, 1965.
After graduating from Corinth High School and Northeast Mississippi Junior College, Mr. Meeks attended the University of Mississippi where he played baseball. He began working with UniLever Corporation in 1965, and retired in 1997 as sales manager. Mr. Meeks served as chairman of the McNairy County School Board, and also served on the Tennessee State School Board. He was a former McNairy County Commissioner, and was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church.
Mr. Meeks departed this life on March 13, 2011 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 67 Years, 3 Months, 26 Days. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kay (Gage) Meeks of Bethel Springs, TN; two daughters, Lori (Meeks) Stiegmann and husband Robert of Bethel Springs, TN and Kimberly (Meeks) Pickens and husband Stephen of Collierville, TN; two grandchildren, Mallory Kayte Stiegmann and Elisabeth Makenzie Pickens, to whom he was a special "T-Daddy"; a sister, Rebecca Wood of Corinth, MS.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Meeks was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin Dilworth Meeks and Lowell Houston Meeks.
