THOMAS MILLS

Henderson, TN: Thomas Ray Mills, age 71, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, at Henderson Health and Rehab.

He was born on May 23, 1955, son of the late Willie Ray Mills and Frances Ann Holder McCormick. Thomas was raised in St. Louis, MO.

Thomas proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a member of the 1st Infantry Division, and was stationed at Fort Riley, KS, before serving in the airborne division in the Vietnam era. His service was a meaningful part of his life, and he remained proud of the time he spent serving his country.

Outside of his military service, Thomas worked as an auto body repair man. He was a simple man who loved to fish and enjoyed old guns. He also had a love for animals and would never hurt them.

He is survived by a son, Christopher Mills; two brothers, Michael Mills, and Jimmy Cooper; two sisters, Sarah Johnson – Bain and Debbie Cooper; three grandchildren, Allura, Brielle and Gavin Mills; and stepmother, Ava Mills.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Thomas Mills, Jr., and a brother Danny Mills.

There will be a private burial with no public services.
