Thomas Ray (Shorty) Pyron was born December 18, 1931 in Adamsville, Tennessee the son of the late Garvin Erbie and Ruth Bell Learue Pyron.
He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Irene Pike on July 5, 1956.
Mr. Pyron was the manager for Pittsburg Paints Distribution Center in Memphis, Tennessee and was Baptist in faith. Mr. Pyron loved to travel, and spent his winters in La Feria, Texas for the last 16 years.
Mr. Pyron departed this life on January 3, 2010 in Lagrange, Georgia at the age of 78 Years, 16 Days. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Irene (Snookie) Pyron of La Grange, Georgia; a son, Rick Pyron and wife Jackie of La Grange, Georgia; two sisters, Elizabeth Howard and husband John of Memphis, Tennessee, and Jan Craig and husband Harold of Memphis, Tennessee; a brother, James Pyron and wife Mildred of Selmer, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Jennifer Rebecca Pyron of Wetumpka, Alabama, Daniel Ray Pyron and wife Karmen of Hermiston, Oregon, Jessica Sue Evans and husband Mike of Jacksonville, Florida, and Joshua Don Duvall of La Grange, Georgia; six great grandchildren, Nicolas Pyron, Nathan Pyron, Londynn Pyron, Sean Pyron, Hunter Haynes and Melinda Haynes, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Pyron was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Neal Pyron and Garvin (Bud) Pyron; and a daughter-in-law, Melinda Pyron.
