Thomas Mitchell Reynolds, aged 79, of Clifton, Tennessee, peacefully passed away on April 2, 2026. He was born on February 2, 1947, in Clifton, TN the son of the late Robert Clifford and Mary Leoma Seltzer Reynolds. Mitchell shared a lifelong bond of love and companionship with his cherished wife, Nancy Pulley Reynolds.

Throughout his dedicated career, Mitchell served as a Ferry Operator and worked with the Tennessee Department of Transportation, faithfully contributing to the state's well-being until his retirement.

He had a profound love for the outdoors, finding joy in farming, caring for his goats, tending his vegetable garden, and engaging in logging.

Above all, Mitchell treasured the moments spent with his family. His heart was fullest when playing with his grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will forever be held dear.

His life was a testament to hard work, love, and the simple pleasures of nature and family. Thomas Mitchell Reynolds leaves behind a legacy of warmth and devotion that will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Reynolds of Clifton, TN; son, Daryl Mitchell Reynolds of Clifton, TN; daughters, Charity Ann Hjorth of Murfreesboro, TN, and Connie Belle Warren of Clifton, TN; brothers, John Michael Reynolds, Mark Clay Reynolds, and Martin (Jug) Reynolds; sister, Ida Frances Reynolds; grandchildren, Shelby Hjorth, Tara Hjorth, Angel Warren, Samantha Reynolds, and Desirae Moses; and great grandchildren, Jayla, Jamal, Jisiah, Payden, Weston, Easton, Raylen, May, and Hartlen.

In addition to his parents, Mitchell was preceded in death by his son, Robert Boyd Reynolds; sister, Rebecca Sue Reynolds; and grandson, Clifford Reynolds.

Family only visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026 at 11:00 am - 12:30pm with a public Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN with Tracy Love officiating. At the family's request Thomas Mitchell Reynolds will be cremated following the service with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
