Thomas Smith Scott

Thomas Smith Scott of Waynesboro, TN was born January 30, 1939 in Collinwood, TN the son of the late Craig Scott and Inavey Brewer Staggs. Mr. Scott departed this life on March 10, 2017 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, at the age of 78 Years, 1 Month, 10 Days. He served in th U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1964. He was retired from the U.S. Corps of Engineers.

He is survived by sons, Keith T. and Kevin P. Scott and his wife Mary, both of Waynesboro, TN and grandson, Rhett Scott, a brother, Floyd "Babe" Staggs and wife Melba of Waynesboro, TN, two sisters, Wanda Thompson and husband Joe, and Ann Staggs both of Collinwood, TN. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Cedar Grove Cemetery with Parker Holt officiating. Burial following in Cedar Grove Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Visitation is Saturday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home in Collinwood, TN. Pallbearers are Keith T. Scott, Kevin P. Scott, Burt Staggs, Bart Staggs, Blake Staggs, and George Blasingame.
