Thomas Allen Stewart was born on September 23, 1934 in Carrizozo, New Mexico, the son of the late Robert Lee and Alta Mae Green Stewart.
On December 5, 1952, he was united in marriage to Doris Ann Colvin Stewart, who survives.
Thomas Allen (T.A.) was a charter member of Riverview Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. He was true to his church and dearly loved his Savior and was so anxious to meet the Lord.
His career started in Macon, Georgia at Georgia Kraft in 1957 and retired 62 years later from Alabama News Print in Monroeville, Alabama. He began as an electrician helper during his tenure with the paper industry. He held numerous positions including Electrical and Instrument Superintendent on multiple jobs in numerous mills in the paper industry throughout the southeast.
Thomas Allen Stewart departed this life on November 16, 2022 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 88 years, 1 month, and 24 days.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Doris Ann Colvin Stewart of Savannah, Tennessee; children, Michael Allen Stewart Sr. of Cullman, Alabama, Deneyse Elaine Marshall of Savannah, Tennessee, and Shawn Michele Lowder of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, Madelene Toler; grandchildren, Stewart Ashley Williams, Melody Bradley, Morgan Stewart, Tyler Andrew Stewart, Allie M. Stewart, Christian Stricklin, Samantha Krebs, Madison Whitlow, Lane DeBerry Jr., and Jenny Lind Ayra; and great grandchildren, Macey Stricklin, Kaison Leibach, Killian Whitlow, Traeleigh DeBerry, Emma DeBerry, Lilly Beth Gray, Eli Williams, Eliza Williams, Gracee Brown, Mason Iturbe, Jace Ayra, Stella Ayra, Fletcher Bradley, and J.R. Krebs.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his daughter, Jana Shree' Stewart; siblings, Ura Culpepper, Vera Revels, Bruce Stewart, and Ilene Morrow; grandson, Michael Allen Stewart Jr.; and great grandparents, Thomas Andrew Stewart and Mattie Stewart.
