Thomas D. Stricklin

Thomas D. Stricklin was born on June 22, 1942 in Franklin County, Tennessee, the son of the late Marion A. and Nannie B. Pickens Stricklin.

In May of 2006, he was united in marriage to Barbara Vestal, who survives.

Thomas honorably served his country in the United States Army. He later worked for IT&T as an electrician. Thomas loved nature and being outdoors. He liked to spend time hunting, fishing, planting flowers, and gardening, especially growing watermelons. He also enjoyed coffee and sweets and could often be found socializing at McDonald's. Mr. Stricklin loved his heavenly Father.

Thomas D. Stricklin departed this life on Saturday, November 8, 2025 in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 83 years, 4 months, and 17 days.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Barbara Stricklin of Savannah, Tennessee; daughters, Patricia Stricklin, Sabrina Smith (Gaines), and Jessica Massengill (Gregg); 3 step children; brother, Johnny Stricklin of Olive Hill, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his sons, Marty T. Stricklin and Matthew T. Stricklin; 10 brothers and sisters; and 1 great grandchild.
