of Waynesboro, TN was born February 6, 1926 in Easton, MD, the son of the late John George Wagner, Jr. and Sarah Irene Mansfield Wagner. He was united in marriage to Betty Holloway on August 14, 1949.
Dr. Wagner had lived in St. Mary's County, MD and Harrisonburg, VA before moving to Waynesboro, TN. He graduated from Bridgewater College in 1951, the University of Maryland Dental School in 1955, a lifelong member of American Dental Association, practiced dentistry for 40 years in Mechanicsville, MD and served in the US Army Air Force from 1944-1947 during WW II and in the US Army Dental Corps from 1955 to 1957.
Dr. Wagner departed this life on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 89 Years, 4 Months, 14 Days.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Holloway Wagner of Waynesboro, TN; sons, Thomas Edward Wagner of Terrytown, LA, George Michael Wagner of Ashville, NC; daughters, Dr. Julia Llewellyn of Columbia, MD, Donna Louise Molinari of Bern, Switzerland; grandchildren, Leonardo and Lucia Molinari, Gabriel, Julian and Sophia Wagner and Douglas Wagner; brother, Phillip L. Wagner of Waynesboro, VA, sisters, Peggy Frampton of Easton, MD; Betty Evans of New Market, VA; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wagner was preceded in death by brothers, John Russell Wagner, George Albert Wagner and Kenneth Eugene Wagner.
At his request, his family have elected to cremate his remains.
