Thurston Duane Crook departed this life on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at the age of 68 years, 2 months, and 22 days. He was born in Shelby County, Tennessee on August 21, 1951, the son of the late J.T. and Maime Johnson Crook.
Thurston served his county honorably in the United States Army and retrired as a heavy equipment mechanic in Memphis, Tennessee. He had lived in Savannah, Tennessee for the last 14 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Thurston is survived by his daughter, Charlotte Rena Marbry and her husband Tim of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Carolyn Rena Williams and her husband Richard, Dewayne Wilson Marbry and his wife Leigh, and Chassity Dawn Marbry; great grandchildren, Kallie Rena Williams, R.J. Williams, Maggie Faye Marbry, Annabelle Marbry, Noah Hunter Brown, and Sophie Ina-Grace Brown; sisters, Edith Joyner and her husband Paul, Frances Holden and her husband Arthur, and Lindia Hopkins, all of Memphis, Tennessee; and brother, Wendell Crook and his wife Bernie of Memphis, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, Thurston was preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde Crook, Cletus Crook, Bobby Crook, and Wade Crook.
