Timothy Burks

Timothy Burks departed this life on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the age of 53 years, 9 months, 18 days.He was born in Alcorn County, Mississippi on March 24, 1959, the son of Peggy Counce Burks and the late James O. (Tom) Burks. Timothy, or Slug as his friends called him, had lived in the Michie area all his life and worked construction. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, yard work and horses.In addition to his mother, Peggy Counce Burks of Michie, Tennessee; he is survived by his children, April Ostie and husband John of Little Rock, Arkansas, Timothy Burks, Jr. and wife Jill of Michie, Tennessee; grandchildren, Avery Burks, Haddie Mae Burks, Ruthie Burks, Evan Peters, John Ostie, Rosie Ostie, and Giovanni Ostie; brother, Tony Burks of Michie, Tennessee.
