Ms. Butler died early Monday, August 22, 2011, at her home near Pocahontas.
Tina was born to John and Olevia Gardner Jackson on Oct. 27, 1963 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She
was a 1981 graduate of Middleton High School. She lived in Easley, South Carolina and attended
Marathon Non-Denominational Church in Greenville. She worked many jobs in financing.
Tina loved music and could play many musical instruments; her favorite was the oboe that she played all
through high school and at the University of Tennessee Martin. She also loved to sing and had many
hours of fun singing with her karaoke machine. Tina was an avid camper and hiker, and loved the
outdoors.
From the beginning, Tina has been a rock through her illness. She has faced her fate knowing she would
see her Papaw Edward Gardner, Mamaw Pearl Bridges, and her son Ryan Dalton Butler, who preceded
her in death.
She leaves behind her parents, John and Olevia Jackson, of Pocahontas, TN, grandmother Betty Gardner
of Pocahontas, TN, a sister, Kelly Jackson Rutherford (Steve), Ripley, Ms., two sons, Brent Edward
Gibson (Katie), Fort Campbell, Ky. & Austin Conrad Butler of Easley, SC, a grandson John Wyatt Gibson
of Ft. Campbell, KY, nieces and a nephew, a special friend, Alvin Mahaffey of Easley, SC, and many
friends and acquaintances
