With hearts full of love, we celebrate the life of Tina Turnbow Worley, affectionately known by family as “Tina Bug,” who passed away peacefully at her home in Savannah, Tennessee, on April 28, 2026, at the age of 54.
Tina was born on September 29, 1971, in Memphis, Tennessee. From the very beginning, she brought light, laughter, and a fierce, joyful spirit into the world- gifts she continued to share generously with everyone blessed to know her.
On May 14, 2005, she married Jimmy Worley and together they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering support. She was the proud and devoted mother of Rudy and Jameson Worley, who were her world. Tina didn’t just love her boys, she cheered for them, stood beside them, believed in them, and celebrated every moment of their lives. Watching Rudy fish and Jameson playing sports brought her pure joy.
Tina was a graduate of the University of North Alabama and was recognized as the Tennessee Social Worker of the Year in 2004. That award stood as a reflection of her compassionate heart and her lifelong dedication to caring for others. Whether it was her “school babies,” her friends, or her family, Tina had a way of making people feel deeply valued and cared for. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures such as working in her yard, mowing the grass, painting by numbers, and proudly sporting her signature visor hat. She loved her jewelry, her Tennessee Vols, and looking her best. More than anything, she loved her people.
Tina attended the Savannah Church of Christ. Even in the face of cancer, Tina showed a strength that inspired everyone around her. She fought with everything she had, holding tightly to her belief: “I will win!” Tina leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will bring smiles through tears and warmth to heavy hearts. Her story is not one of loss, but of a love so strong it continues long after she is gone.
She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Jimmy Worley; her sons, Rudy and Jameson Worley; her mother, Olga Turnbow; her brothers, Todd Turnbow (Kelli) of Savannah, TN, and Mark Turnbow of Lakeland, TN; and her cherished nephews, Caleb Berstrum, Nikolaus Turnbow, and Tom West. She was preceded in death by her father, Rudolph Turnbow.
Visitation and funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Savannah Church of Christ with Dustin Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery in Saltillo, Tennessee.
In honor of Tina’s giving spirit and her desire to ensure every student’s needs were met, memorial donations may be made to Tina’s Closet (non-profit) at East Hardin Elementary School.
Though we will miss her more than words can express, we carry her laughter, her strength, and her love with us always. Somewhere, we can almost hear her saying with that familiar spark, “I did win!”
