Todd Reid, 52, passed from this life on Sunday, April 28, 2024.
A life-long resident of Middleton, TN, Todd was a baptized believer in the Lord, attending church at New Hope Church of Christ with his family as a child and, most recently, at New Bethany Church of Christ.
Todd had a big, loving and tender heart. He loved to cook especially when grilling steaks or ribs and particularly enjoyed cooking for restaurants in the area. Todd was very honored to serve the residents of Hardeman County by volunteering with the Hardeman County Rescue Squad for many years bringing him great satisfaction.
He was a 1989 graduate of Middleton High School where he played on the football team and was a drummer in the band. Todd was employed at Thyssen-Krupp Elevators in Middleton as a certified welder for many years.
He enjoyed hunting deer and turkeys on the family farm with his family. For Todd, the farm held many fond memories of hunts and times spent there. He was a firm supporter of Ducks Unlimited and the National Wild Turkey Federation and truly enjoyed the comradery of each organization's yearly banquets.
Todd also loved being around and involved in dirt track racing, in particular, sprint cars and late models. Throughout the summer, he could be found at any nearby, or sometimes not so nearby, dirt track working with or watching his favorite drivers into the wee hours of morning. Those he like to spend time with at the track included his good friends Cozette, Allen, and LeeAnn Taylor.
Todd leaves a sister, Ava Reid Null (Kevin) of Walnut MS; a brother, Larry Reid (Deanna) of Jackson, TN; two nephews, Caleb Null (Megan) of Oxford, MS and Scott Null (Miriam) of Walnut, MS; two nieces, Ashley Reid Troutt (John Adler) of Manchester, TN and Morgan Reid Bishop (Josh) of Lexington, KY; one great nephew, Jaxson Reid Troutt; and one great niece, Abigail Mae Bishop.
Todd was preceded in death by his father and mother, Tommy and Evilee Reid also of Middleton, and a brother, Ronald Daniel Reid.
