Toker Rouse
April 8, 1920 — April 14, 2006
She was born and reared in Plainview Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late James Calhoun and Jessie Laura Smith Rouse. She attended school at Glendale School and farmed most of her life. In common law marriage to John Westly Bishop in 1936 and lived in the Plainview Community. Mr. Bishop died in 1960.
She is survived by one son Jacob Rouse of Henderson; five daughters Louise Jean Bishop of Henderson, Mildred Faye Goodwin of Henderson, Barbara Ann Flatt of Logansport, IN, Sylvia Louise Johnson of Henderson and Cathy Vann of Pinson; 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; and also one sister Willie Ervin of Lexington.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Sara Frances Rouse Vann, January 19, 2006.
