Tommie Joe Sanders

Tommie Joe Harvell Sanders was born May 5, 1945 in Michie, TN the daughter of the late William and Lula Gray Harvell. She was united in marriage to Troy O'Neal Sanders Sr on December 9, 1971.

Tommie was a care giver all of her life even while she was in the nursing home. She was a member of the Middleton Pentecostal Tabernacle Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and singing. She enjoyed spending time with her family, but most of all she loved being a grandmother.

Mrs. Sanders departed this life on August 22, 2023 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 78 Years, 3 Months, 17 Days.

She is survived by her husband Troy O'Neal Sanders Sr.;  a son, James Combs and wife Mary Jo; a daughter, Dana Congiardo and husband Sammy; five grandchildren, Ann Combs Derryberry, Jimmie T. Black, Neal Black and wife Melanie, John Black, Jamie Combs; ten great grandchildren, Jaden Derryberry, Kayla Combs, Jax Derryberry, Sammie Jo Black, Alayna Black, Natalie Combs, Cole Parks, Jesse Parks, Allison Black, Ana Leigh Black; a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs Sanders was preceded in death by  a daughter, Vicki Howard; two sons, Troy O'Neal Sanders Jr., Timmy Combs; five sisters, Kathy Long, Charleine Harvell, Vera Battles, Ann Taylor, Betty Battles; three brothers, Bill Harvell, James Harvell, E.D. Harvell.
