Tommy Allen Brooks

Mr. Brooks passed away Friday evening, January 15, 2016.
A native of Chester County, he grew up in the Woodville community and had lived in Hardeman County for nearly 60 years. He was the son of the late Hollis and Abetine Tull Brooks and on December 6, 1959 was united in marriage to Chloe Elizabeth Greene. They were married for 39 years before her passing on April 12, 1999.
Mr. Brooks was a retired owner/operator in trucking and was Baptist in faith. In his spare time, he enjoyed his grandchildren, woodworking, old cars and was an avid western movie buff.
He leaves his daughter, Nicole (Chad) Armstrong of Sparta, TN; his son, Glenn Allen (Ashley) Brooks of Arlington, TN; his sister, Charlotte Whitten of Oakland, TN; his sister-in-law, Billie Brooks of Selmer; special friend, Sandra Armstrong of Bolivar; and his three grandchildren, Chloe Grace Russell, Kennedy Grace and Conley Elizabeth Brooks.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Cathy Brooks on December 4, 1977; his sister, Vernice Pollard; and his brother, Bobby Brooks.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Childrens' Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
